Spectre

2016

Spectre is a series of photographs that uses the process of a mushroom releasing its spores to pry at an inaccessible architecture. The spores drop from between the gills on the underside of the mushroom cap and disperse to spawn new mushrooms. It is an accumulation of microscopic white spores on black paper that creates these ghost-like images, but rather than being solely an after-image of life, they are also a precursor.
