(E)Merge is a series of copper etchings that relate to my sculptural project, Toad Touch. These prints mix and match a set of six images, three from the world of toads and three from the human world. This series is an attempt to blur behaviours across species and consider emergent properties or emergent strategies – ideas of symbiosis and mutual benefit that can occur when simple behaviours of individuals become extraordinary transformations of the collective.
